Zidane is one of the best ever. But it is a shame that he ended like he did. Materazzi goaded him into a fight and Zidane fell for it hook line and sinker. By Italy winning it appears to me that the good guys lost. Materrazi should not have held Zidane by the shirt. Zidane was just looking at him and the Italian made a horrible insult. Both the butt and the insult were classless but Matterazzi was dirtier in my opinion.

At the end of the day Zidane’s brilliant play will be remembered more than his headbutt. He just played in the Haiti charity match and I did not think about the headbutt once. I just watched his great play.

Note: Zidane should have gotten a yellow card not red. And still he was voted the best in the WC Cup.
