That Godard/Allen conversation *is* kind of &quot;bad,&quot; in the sense that they really don&#039;t connect, they, as you say, have problems communicating their ideas to one another, they seem to be taking radically different approaches to the cinema. But that&#039;s kind of the idea: Godard further complicates matters by indulging in even more of his confusing, disruptive video-editing techniques than usual, constantly intruding with frames-within-the-frame and weird transitions and such. The interview becomes all about communication problems and the multiple ways in which filmmakers and viewers alike might think about film. 

And *King Lear* is a work of pure genius.</description>
